The CWU at Santander
We are the independent, specialist trade union for over 185,000 workers across postal, telecoms, financial services and the tech sector.
The CWU proudly represents several thousand union members in Santander, with the number continuing to grow.
When you become a member of the CWU, you will be joining forces with all other CWU represented workers in Santander and speaking to your employer with a stronger voice. CWU has a built a good working relationship with Santander resulting in improved terms & conditions and a great track record of health and safety within the workplace.
CWU Union reps are always working to make improvements. In January 2023, union reps negotiated:
- a minimum pay increase of £2,000
- CWU secured improvements to the Family Friendly Policies at work
- CWU secured significant improvements to the Defined Contribution Pension Scheme effective from 1st April 2023
In addition to negotiations, on an individual basis, CWU members have access to workplace advice, support, and representation by fully trained and accredited Union reps.
Members can also access legal advice on both work and non-work related issues.
Members enjoy benefits such as discounted insurance rates, hotel, travel and experience benefits, health and wellbeing discounts including gym membership, and deals on car breakdown services.
We are also dedicated to helping our members grow and expand their knowledge. Members have access to training and development courses, and assistance in getting more involved within the Union through our Unlock pathway.
