Policy Assistant to Assistant Secretary, Postal Department
Group 4 Salary £55,497 (£51,020 pensionable)
The role of Policy Assistant to an elected Assistant Secretary in the Postal Department is being advertised on a permanent full time basis.
The elected Assistant Secretary is responsible for representing CWU members in Mail Centres, Area Distribution, Royal Mail International, Air Network, Parcelforce Worldwide, Eurest, RMSS, RM Logistics, RDCs and VOCs and the Policy Assistant will play a key part in supporting the officer.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, be a good team player and have the ability to work in a pressurised environment.
We are looking for the post holder to have relevant experience within the trade union movement and knowledge of the postal industry and areas the officer holds responsibility for.
You will be expected to be involved in the management of the section on a day to day basis, including people management in order to ensure the work of the section is maintained to a high standard.
