Three Peaks Challenge – The Latest
October 15 201521 March 2013
So, I thought I’d give a quick update about my preparations for the Yorkshire Three Peaks which I’m doing on May 4th. On Saturday just gone I climbed Whernside which is the highest of the peaks. The walk was 8 miles and took 4 and half hours.
Usually it’d be quite a nice chilled out walk. It was chilled out,but not because it was a leisurely walk. With the windchill it was a rather chilly -10c and the snow was coming in sidewards! It was by far the coldest weather I’ve ever experienced. I half expected to lose a member of our group as we made it over the top!
But I made it and I’m really proud of myself. The thing that is worrying me now is that, on May 4th, I have to do that mountain as well as two others! Although the other two aren’t as tall as the one we did this weekend.
