Capita Telefonica pay negotiations open

Pay negotiations aimed at securing a fair settlement for hundreds of members working on the Capita Telefonica contract opened yesterday (Monday), when CWU negotiators set out their 2016 wage claim to senior company representatives.

Sally Bridge, the union’s national officer for members in this business, said that the CWU team had put forward its case for a 4 per cent, fully consolidated, across the board pay increase for next year.

“It’s our view that hard-working Capita staff fully deserve a fair salary rise taking into account the extra efforts they have made and their contribution to the improved financial circumstances of the company,” she explained.

“The company listened to the case we made, promised to carefully consider our points and promised to respond fully at our next scheduled pay negotiating meeting early next month.”

The next meeting between the CWU and Capita will take place on Thursday 12th November.
