Christmas message to BTFS members

The CWU understands that the announcement made last month to outsource BT Facilities Services to CBRE and ISS have left many of you worried about how it will directly affect you. This is a time of year when you should be looking forward to relaxing with your family and enjoying the festivities not fretting over job security and the future.

This is why your union is campaigning and we are working as hard as we can to try and seek the assurances and protections that are required before transfer on 1 April 2019.

Discussions have already started with BTFS, CBRE & ISS where it has been agreed that the issues relating to Job Security, working hours, collective bargaining and the process of any job losses or redundancies will be discussed in detail early in the New Year.

Therefore, although at this point there remain significant issues that are outstanding and unresolved  I would like to reassure you that this is an absolute priority to the CWU.
