“TO BT BRANCHES WITH MANPOWER MEMBERS”

Dear Colleague

BT Consumer Contact Centre Transformation – Job Offers to Manpower Employees

Further to Briefing No. 09/2018 regarding the Manpower employees in BT Consumer and the offer of a BT contract. Further discussions have taken place with BT regarding the job offer process and documentation required.

Branches should note that BT are about to commence sending emails to Manpower employees in Consumer with a contract offer which will give more information on the following:The BT contract that is on offer and the benefits of joining BT.

  • The job description of the role that BT are offering.
  • What to do next if the BT offer is accepted.
  • What to do if the BT offer is declined.
  • The email will include the specifics relating to EIN, full name, location, line of business as well as the specific role based on BT Workforce 2020 contracts, including the hours on offer, the salary pay, on target bonus percentage, full-time or part-time and the contract offer based on current hours.
  • Those Manpower employees that are currently on part-time hours will initially receive a BT job offer for a part-time contract but can request full time hours if desired.
  • If the Manpower employee does not hold any warning record or if they do and it expires before 15 October 2018, then the BT contract will go live on the 14 October 2018 (for Sales) and 15 October (for Service). If a warning doesn’t expire until after the contract start date BT will review any open warnings on a case by case basis before 15 March 2019.
  • There will be a link to the website where they can review all TM job descriptions.
  • BT has recognised the fact that the post 1st September 2014 NewGRID (Workforce 2020) contracts may not be suitable for all individuals as they could result in deterioration in current terms and conditions. Therefore, BT has accepted that where this anomaly exists, the Company will offer NewGRID pre-1st September 2014 NewGRID contracts to the individuals concerned.
