LTB 121/18 – BT Personnel – Adjusted Job Search

No. 121/2018

Ref: DJ/ML

Date: 27 February 2018

TO ALL BRANCHES WITH MEMBERS IN BT

Dear Colleague

BT Personnel – Adjusted Job Search

Further to LTB 528/2016, the Union’s Personnel Team has continued to pursue improvements to the Adjusted Job Search process for some time and the attached letter offers some further progress on this matter. There is still work to be done, particularly on the 6 month timescale although the Team has been successful in softening the company’s previous dogmatic approach.

There is also a reference to secondments which in the past have been added to what was a six month deadline. Secondments are now seen by the company as a more positive measure and the time on a secondment will now not disadvantage people.

Branches have also raised the issue of people who have been placed on the Adjusted Job Search process even though there is no change in their circumstances. There is now a response from the company on this which I hope Branches will find useful. However, the Team still intend to pursue further improvements to this.

Any enquiries from Branches regarding this LTB should be referred to my office in the first instance.

Yours sincerely

Dave Jukes
