LTB 048/19 – BT Personnel – Holiday Uplift Payments (HUP) – Addition of Voluntary Overtime and Additional Hours

No. 048/2019

Ref: DJ/ML

Date: 25 January 2019

TO ALL BRANCHES WITH MEMBERS IN BT

Dear Colleague

BT PERSONNEL – Holiday Uplift Payments (HUP) – Addition of Voluntary Overtime and Additional Hours

Branches may recall that the Union concluded an agreement with BT in 2017 on Holiday Uplift Payments. Subsequent to this there have been legal changes with the addition of voluntary overtime now being subject to the Holiday Uplift Payment (HUP) calculation. The Union entered into further negotiations on this matter and the company agreed to update the existing agreement to reflect the changes in Law. The change means that voluntary overtime will be subject to the same payment calculation and calculation period that currently exists.

Also included within the calculation are the additional hours that part-timers work prior to reaching their full time equivalent hours. In addition, overtime will also be included in the calculation if it is worked. This will also be calculated in the same way as voluntary overtime.

Branches will also note that the previously agreed pay per sale commission, overtime and allowances remain extant.

Any enquiries from Branches regarding this LTB should be referred to my office in the first instance.

Yours sincerely
