Dear Colleague,

BT Consumer: TM1 Job Descriptions

In August the CWU briefed details of the BT Contact Centre Transformation which included details of agreed changes in Consumer – see LTB 474/2018. As part of this we undertook to circulate relevant job descriptions for the new TM1 roles in Sales and Service.

It is important to stress that these TM1 grades are single function/skill roles. Our Agreement and the job descriptions make this absolutely clear. Multi-skilled and more complex roles are graded at TM2 or above.

Unfortunately, BT initially issued the incorrect job descriptions on SharePoint and it has taken some time to sort this out. The issue has been resolved and the job descriptions attached to this circular, and those now available via the BT intranet, are the correct versions. No other versions should be used.

Attached to this briefing are the agreed TM1 job descriptions for the following new TM1 roles.

  • Sales and Retention
  • Help Billing
  • Help Repair

Any issues regarding the application of these job descriptions that cannot be resolved locally, should be raised with CWU HQ.
