International Trans Day of Visibility

Equalities

International Trans Day of Visibility, or TDOV, is an annual celebration dedicated to our Trans community and designed to raise awareness of the continuing discrimination that Trans people face on a daily basis. It also acknowledges their contributions to society.

The following link shows how Trans people have been making a huge contribution to various parts of society and public life.

Kate Hudson – Head of Equality, Education & Development – adds “At the CWU we understand the journey that many of our Trans members make and the daily difficulties they face. We demand an end to Transphobia and much wider appreciation of their right to self-determine their gender. We are committed to promoting a positive environment for the Trans community and our recently designed Trans Awareness course is something I would encourage all reps to participate in.”
