ROMEC Cleaners

Romec is a joint venture company established in 2002. It is still a part of Royal Mail Group, and normally undertakes the cleaning of all Royal Mail Group buildings including Post Office Limited buildings.

All our Cleaner members in Romec are represented by Bob Gibson, Assistant Secretary, Outdoor Department.

The Policy Advisor in the Department is Steve Fishwick - sfishwick@cwu.org.

Members of the postal executive working to the department are Mark Baulch, Tony Bouch and Peter Keenlyside.

All issues affecting our cleaner members are the responsibility of the Outdoor Department, including Pay Terms & Conditions, Productivity Bonus, Managing the Surplus Agreement etc.

As in all cases, your local CWU Branch or Workplace Representative should be your first port of call, as they are in a much better position to deal with local issues.

News - Discussions continue with Romec Management on the subject of a new Productivity Bonus Scheme for our Cleaner Members. A meeting is scheduled to take place on the 24th of November on this and other issues - details and developments will be reported in due course.
