The lead officer for Reliance Security Services Ltd (RSSL) is Colin O'Callaghan, who has ownership of all the issues affecting members in Reliance Security Services Ltd.
Colin is supported by an elected NEC team: Gerry Ryan, Tracey
Fussey and Brendan O'Brien.

CWU's interest in the 6000-employee RSSL is confined to the company's contract with BT, first let in 2007 and renewed in 2009. BT has moved decisively away from manned guarding of physical assets, partly on the basis of cost, and partly due to advances in access technology. CWU has growing membership in RSSL but we have not yet achieved statutory recognition levels. However, the personal representation we provide has been effective in countering many proposals from the employer to our members which have been in our view of questionable legality.
It was announced on the 30 September 2010 that Reliance (RSSL) including Patrolnet were being sold to Securitas subject to clearance by the European Commission.
