Parcelforce are looked after by Terry Pullinger, Assistant Secretary. Bob McGuire is the
Policy Advisor for the department.
Parcelforce is the processing and delivery side of the parcels business and the department represents all CWU members working within this part of the Royal Mail Group.
Members collect the parcels from direct customers and from the Post Office Ltd of counters (P.O.L.). The parcels are then taken to the network delivery offices and onward to the processing centre at Coventry where they are distributed to the appropriate offices for delivery.
Pay and terms & conditions are negotiated with the business by the department, and the next round of negotiations in this regard are due in April 2009.
As in all cases, your local CWU Branch or Workplace Representative should be your first port of call, as they are in a much better position to deal with local issues.
