Online ULR Guide

Welcome to the CWU ULR Guide. This is an online resource for ULRs to provide information, advice on best practice and resources to enable ULRs to effectively pursue their role whether they are experienced activists or a brand new ULR.

The guide will provide an overview of the ULR role and rights as well information on learning and learning centres as well as tried and tested resources.

This guide is your tool kit and we would like your feedback on it. The best way to do this is through your Regional Learning Committee. If you have something that is best practice in your region, or there is something that you think needs amending, then share it with us via your Regional Learning Committee.

The guide is split into three initial sections in order to help you access information. Please click on the link to access that area of the guide.

  • ULRs - information on ULR Rights, appointment forms and ULR promotional items.
  • ULRs & Learning - Guidance, best practices and resources to enable you to carry out the ULR role.
  • Learning Centres - Guidance on setting up, running and making a learning centre sustainable.
