STERIA members urged to accept 2%

Voting begins today (July 6) in a consultative ballot over
STERIA's final pay offer of 2%.
Members are being recommended to accept the fully consolidated
deal, which applies across all CWU-represented grades in light of
the challenging economic conditions in which the IT company
operates.
Acting assistant secretary Karen
Rose explains: "Negotiations have been difficult with
STERIA arguing that considerable pressure is being applied to their
margins, and therefore their overriding need to control costs.
"In the light of this the Executive believes we have achieved
as much as we can through negotiation and is therefore recommending
the 2% final offer to members."
The postal ballot will close on July 20 - and all members in STERIA
are asked to participate in this important consultative exercise.
