Black History Month

Some of you may already be aware that we have just come out of BHM (Black History Month).
I would like to remind the branches that the Equal Opportunities Department has an excellent exhibition of Black History that is available for 'free loan' to the branches. What better way is there to educate our members on the wonderful contribution that BME people have made to wider society? The exhibition is a 'live' one in the sense that we are constantly looking to grow it and as such there are always opportunities for CWU branches to sponsor a new black history profile. Black History Month is not something that is confined to just one month of the year - October should actually be a launch pad for finalising black history activities for the rest of the year.
