97% vote for Santander UK Integration Agreement

The CWU has announced today (Monday) that members have voted overwhelmingly to endorse the Santander UK Integration Agreement.
The Agreement was endorsed by 97% of those voting. The ballot opened on Monday 10th December following months of negotiations to harmonise terms and conditions across different parts of the bank. The Agreement will bring an improved pay and grading structure that introduces national pay progression arrangements for all staff for the first time.
CWU assistant secretary Nigel Cotgrove welcomed the result saying: "We said that this was a good deal in a tough time for the financial sector and I am very pleased that our members have voted in favour by such an overwhelming majority"
CWU represents staff in retail, commercial, corporate, customer service and support roles in Santander UK.
