94% vote in favour of Parcelforce pay deal
7th September 2012
CWU members working for Parcelforce have voted
overwhelmingly to accept a "2.9 per cent plus" pay
increase.
Following a complicated set of negotiations the deal reached, and now agreed, will lift all elements of pay by 2.9 per cent from 1st April 2012 and will be boosted by variable consolidated lump sums, also backdated to April.
Assistant secretary, Terry Pullinger, commented: "I am pleased that 94% of the membership voted in favour of this deal and recognised what the agreement articulates - a re-defined joint vision, confirms there will be investment, demonstrates genuine ambition, fully involves the union in shaping the future and rewards our members."
