CWU congratulates leadership elected for a further term from 2012. Elections closed yesterday (31st January) at 14:00 with the following confirmed results:

Tony Kearns - CWU Officers Branch (Elected)

Now in his third term as senior deputy general secretary, Tony said of his re-election: "It is an honour and privilege to be elected to represent the members of this union for a third term. We have challenging times ahead as a result of reducing membership and the savage attacks from the Conservative led Government. We all have a responsibility to deal with both of these issues and I remain resolute in my commitment to provide the CWU with the leadership that will steer the union through these tough economic times and continue to provide our members with excellent representation."

Andy Furey - CWU Officers Branch (Elected)

Pleased to be re-elected as Assistant Secretary for a third term, Andy said: "I wish to thank everyone for the support received which was simply amazing. It is a privilege and honour to represent our members working across the clerical and cash handling constituency."
