£500 bonus for Customer Experience workers
15th November 2012
Over a thousand Royal Mail contact centre and customer support workers are set for a £500 pre-Christmas pay boost in recognition of their "hard work, focus and continued dedication."
The payout, which reflects their success in achieving all of their performance targets, exceeds last year's bonus of £325 and is the highest amount ever paid out by this particular scheme.
CWU assistant secretary Andy Furey said: "I'm delighted that our members' efforts and consistent high standards have achieved the recognition they deserve.
"Well done to everyone - this high-quality incentive scheme that the CWU negotiated with the employer is bringing better customer service, stronger company performance and fair reward for our members," he added.
"It's a win-win-win situation."
In a statement to staff, Royal Mail customer experience boss Lee O'Bryan explained: "This payment is calculated based on meeting or exceeding our Customer Experience measures and the amount reflects the excellent performance of everyone in our unit during the first half of the 2012/13 financial year.
"This is a fantastic result and a reflection of your focus and continued dedication, thank you for all your efforts so far this year."
