LTB 352/2019 – CBRE Pay Review 2019 – Final Offer

No. 352/2019

Ref: SB/lm

Date: 11 June 2019

TO ALL BT BRANCHES WITH CBRE MEMBERS

Dear Colleague

CBRE Pay Review 2019 – Final Offer

The CWU CBRE National Team have had a number of meetings with the company regarding the 2019 pay review which covers all colleagues that transferred from BTFS on 01 April 2019.

Due to the complexity of the TUPE and a number of operational issues, including the Target Operating Model, the 2019 pay review was late in starting, but it has been the aim of both the business and the CWU to achieve a simple, straight forward and fair pay deal.

We have therefore worked as quickly as we can to finalise our discussions.

The Final Offer

As a result of full discussions, a final and definitive offer has been received from the CBRE as follows:

A performance rating pay increase based on the March 2019 performance grades:

  • 3% for colleagues who have achieved a Brilliant performance rating.
  • 2.5% for colleagues who have achieved a Good Work performance rating.
  • 1.5% for colleagues who have achieved a Work To Do performance rating.
  • The average salary increase is 2.58%.
  • Stand-by payments – an additional £20 payment for those colleagues on stand-by for 25 December and £20 additional payment for 26 December stand-by.
  • An additional uplift to the following job roles:

Customer Service Advisors – Help Desk Doncaster minimum pay to be uplifted to £18.000

  • This will result in 34 CSA’s receiving an average increase of 5%. 26 will receive a 5.1% increase to bring them up to a minimum of £18,000.
  • Those CSA’s currently earning above £18,000 will receive the spot rate performance increase based on the March 2019 performance grades i.e. 3%, 2.5% or 1.5%.

General Technicians (now regraded to Facility Technicians) – minimum pay to be uplifted to £19.500.

–   51 colleagues will receive an average increase of 2.9%

–  Those Colleagues currently earning above £19,500 will receive the spot rate increase based on the March 2019 performance grades, i.e. 3%, 2.5% or 1.5%.

In Conclusion

It is the view of the CBRE National Team that we have achieved what we set out to do which is to move away from the complicated matrix system and the performance related quartiles to a much more simple and straight forward pay increase.

The CWU CBRE National Team believe that it is the best offer that can be negotiated at the current time and we are recommending that this offer be placed before a consultative electronic ballot where we will be asking all CWU members to vote Yes’.

Ballot Time Table

All CWU members  will receive an electronic ballot shortly.

– E-ballot papers to be sent out on 17 June 2019

– E-ballot closes on 27 June 2019

– Result of ballot on 27 June 2019

If the offer is agreed, payments and arrears to June 2019 will be made in July salaries.
