Library
The library collects material relating to the union's core subject areas: postal services, telecommunications and financial services. It also aims to collect material relating to the running of a vibrant, modern trade union, including information on: industrial relations; pay and conditions; employment law; equal opportunities; health and safety; and trade union law.
The library is also the archive for all internally produced CWU
material. Most documentation published since the formation of the
CWU in 1995 is held in both hard and electronic versions. The
library also holds spare copies of major union publications.
A considerable amount of material published by the former POEU/NCU
and UPW/UCW is also held in stock. Some material has been deposited
at the Modern Records Centre, University of Warwick.
We endeavour to hold most industrial agreements negotiated by
the union as well as sets of historical pay scales.
The library is also the repository for CWU Annual Conference
verbatim reports.
