International Solidarity

The Trade Union Movement is a global movement of activists who act collectively to improve the working lives of their members. This solidarity extends well beyond our own borders and the CWU is involved in International solidarity with workers across the world in a number of ways:

• Through affiliations to international Trade Union Confederations such as UNI
• Through supporting and affiliating to campaigns and organisations that promote justice and fairness for trade unionists around the world. You can view some of these by visiting our International Links page
• Through the CWU International Development fund which aims to provide practical support to trade unionists who do not have access to the freedoms and resources that we take for granted
