Legal Services
The CWU specialises in providing advice and representation in personal injury compensation claims and employment tribunal applications. We recovered £14,625,952 in compensation for members in 2009 alone. This is totally free to CWU members.
Publications
As a member you will receive an industry-specific magazine - Voice - six times a year as well as other member specific communications to keep you informed of everything happening in your industry, your workplace and the union.
Insurance
CWU members and their families benefit from preferential rates on home, travel, motor and pet insurance through UIA Insurance. Apply online for an additional 15 per cent discount.
CWU Family Protection provides members with a range of affordable insurance plans. Plus there's £2,500 FREE Personal Accident & Accidental Death insurance for all CWU members.
Travel
CWU members receive a year-round 10 per cent discount at the Elstead Classic Hotel in Bournemouth. There are also seasonal offers for members on bed-and-breakfast rates at this seaside hotel.
Members also benefit from 25 per cent off weekend stays at participating Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn hotels, with up to 35 per cent off on Friday and Saturday nights.
Financial services
Save money on your everyday healthcare, including dental and optical with BHSF, Birmingham based employee benefits and health insurance provider, starting from as little as £5.00 per month.
CWU offers a grant to the next of kin of deceased full members. Currently this stands at £653.

Specsavers are currently offering all CWU members £20 off all glasses priced at £99 and over.
Autonational Rescue offers CWU members excellent and affordable motor breakdown service. CWU members also benefit from exclusive promotions on car leasing with Freeway Ltd and competitive car and van hire rates through the National Car Hire Affinity Programme.
