CWU negotiators have managed to move Yell from a position of offering nothing by way of a pay increase to a 1 per cent consolidated deal.

CWU Disappointed by Vodafone Job Losses
The Communication Workers Union today (Tuesday) is disappointed by Vodafone’s decision to cut 375 jobs from the company and is also concerned that customer-facing jobs will be affected, despite assurance by the company.

The Commission for Rural Communities’ Rural Advocates report published today (Thursday) places emphasis on the importance of mobile coverage and broadband access describing it as “a lifeline for rural people and businesses”.

02 2010 Pay “Final Offer” rejected
The CWU has held further meetings with O2 on this years pay claim. To recap, the CWU submitted a claim for 5% and a resolution to the vexed issue of Pay Progression for Retail and T & E.
