The Organising department, CWU HQ:
The Organising Department is responsible for building the union across a wide range of industries, securing union recognition in companies and coordinating the work of field organisers and reps. The head of department is John East, supported by lead organisers who work across the country. In addition, CWU has dedicated staff working on membership records and processing applications.
Structure - members are represented locally by reps and nationally by the Organising Department and National Executive Council who negotiate for formal recognition with companies.
