COLT was founded by Fidelity Investments in 1992, the worlds largest privately held mutual fund and investment management company and since then has won many corporate contracts. In 1996, COLT Telecom Group was floated on the London Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ National Market in New York.
COLT Telecommunications also has licenses to operate in Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Portugal.
A Recognition Agreement was signed with COLT in May 2006 which covers all non-management grades employed in Network Operations.
